Shipping, returns, and exchanges
Read the returns page end to end. Be aware of restocking fees, time windows, and tag or hygiene sticker conditions. When ordering varying sizes, check if you’re able to return the one that does not fit. Check the time zone cutoff and whether the brand or retailer is shipping the item for speedy shipping.
Budget without surprises
• Make sure the overall look budget includes any necessary tailoring, shoes, undergarments, and last-minute steaming.
• The hem and straps can be adjusted. Complex changes cost more.
• If you’re going to wear shapewear, consider breathable ones and try them on at the fitting.
Try-on strategy at home
When you get your freshly delivered package, open it carefully, keep all the tags on until you decide, and use clean hands and a clean floor to avoid any contamination.
• Immediately check the seams, zippers, and embellishments.
• Test the outfit with whatever shoes and undergarments you will be wearing.
• Capture photos during the day from the front, side, and back.
• Sit and take a few steps by walking. If the dress requires wrestling, its size or style is wrong.
Common red flags I see
• Claims that fit all sizes.• Only stock photos, no customer images.• Items are charged less than half the known retail price.• Returnless or a process that demands untraceable addresses.• Vague descriptions like soft material or premium quality with no content listed.
