Some dresses ship on a longer timeline depending on the designer. Certain brands require additional lead time before your order can be dispatched. Please check the individual product page before placing your order to see the specific shipping timeframe for that item.

Refunds (money back) are only available on items from The Dress Outlet Collection. All other purchases are eligible for exchange or store credit only — not a refund.
Exchanges can only be done once per order. The item you receive in the exchange is considered final sale.
Store credit can only be used once. Anything purchased with store credit is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Wait for approval
We'll review your request and confirm whether it qualifies. Special order items may have a higher restocking fee — we'll notify you before anything is finalized.

Ship the item back within 14 days of approval
You are responsible for return shipping costs. Items sent back after 14 days will be refused and returned to you at your expense.

We process your resolution
Once received and inspected, we'll issue your refund, exchange, or store credit.

  • Refund: 20% restocking fee
  • Exchange: No restocking fee
  • Store credit: 10% restocking fee
  • Special order items: May have a higher fee — we'll notify you first

Your store credit is safe. It's issued as a digital gift card with a tracked balance and a 5-year validity period — plenty of time to find something you love.

From the date it was issued or last reloaded. The expiration date is included in your confirmation email.
Restocking fee
10% deducted
Credit is issued for the amount you paid for the item, minus the 10% restocking fee.

Store credit and gift cards can only be applied to purchases on thedressoutlet.com.
Cash value
Not redeemable for cash
Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by California law.
  • Final sale on use: Items purchased with store credit are considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • No extensions or reissues: Once a gift card or store credit expires, it cannot be renewed or reissued. We encourage you to use it before the expiration date.
  • Lost or stolen: We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards. Treat your gift card like cash — we cannot replace it.
  • Policy updates: We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted to our website.

This policy complies with California law, which requires gift cards and store credits to remain valid for a minimum of 5 years from the date of issuance.
